Air Nouveau pour des Chaises Bergères! Wing Chairs with a twist

Hi Everyone!  English version in blue below, thanks a million!

Suzanne

I am so lucky to be able to help a young couple with three children who bought a beautiful house needing just a little color and accessories ... No renovation. They love the traditional with a twist and are willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done!

We decided as a starting point to cover two antique armchairs with a neutral color of taupe and ivory. (The rug in the is temporary)

We chose two fabrics ... Ginham and a modest linen texture.
Ginhams are perhaps the easiest of all styles to decorate with. Because of their ability to sit joyfully in the background they with almost anything.

Small nest brimming with style!

The homeowners transformed the existing attic space and added 800 square feet to create a spacious and stunning master suite. The addition features a bedroom, bath, and dressing area. The added space blends effortlessly with the rest of the home thanks to the use of salvaged materials and New Orleans cottage style.

2.Sitting Area
Here, a small loftlike sitting area next to the master suite overlooks the study below. The wrought-iron railing, made from salvaged materials, was designed by the homeowner and brings big New Orleans style to the tiny Texas home.

3.Charming Bungalow
This 1910 charmer was given a second chance to shine following a major remodel. The better bungalow received a loftlike master suite addition, and the main-level rooms were revived with a New Orleans cottage feel. Here, the enhanced exterior boasts a new gallery porch that welcomes visitors, offers a comfy spot to relax, and adds curb appeal. A whimsical gabled dormer and French doors with shutters give this small home a big personality.

5.Pretty, Practical Porch
Before the remodel, the old home didn't have air-conditioning, so this part of the home was used as a sleeping porch on hot summer nights. Now enclosed, the air-conditioned porch makes for a perfect breakfast room with views of the backyard. The antique country French table and furnishings lend character to the room.
The updated main-level bathroom boasts period-appropriate touches, such as a pedestal sink, hexagonal floor tiles, and beaded-board wainscoting.
7. Color Palette                                                                                                                                          grey, brown, beige, Ivory, Green

Ingédients Éclectiques I Ecletics Ingredients

Combo Éclectique

''Hi Everyone!  English version below thanks for visiting!'' Suzanne

Hi Everyone,                 Eclectic Style

This look is for those who like a variety of styles and buy accordingly.  It works when bits and pieces are put together cleverly.  Mixing old with new, taking great care to get the look right in unexpected juxtapositions.  The furniture and backgrounds can be simple, with all the interest created by means of accessories, although clever paintings, collages and craft objects can be integral part of the electic style. It is a style for the individual, with no hard or fast rules as to what is right or wrong.
